New Grants and Awards Available for Small Businesses

Business finances are hard to manage. Even more, when you’re a startup business, and well, you’re just starting to attract customers. They have no idea who you are, and the audience is your main flow of cash income. So if you can’t attract their attention, what’s to make of your business? It’s a good thing that there are cash grants! 

Access to funds is typically the problem new businesses (or not even new ones) deal with. It takes time and effort to research and applies for funding, but the payoff can be worth it if you secure a grant for your small business. Here are some of the new grants and awards available for small businesses you can take advantage of for your small business to help you get started.

Incfile Fresh Start Business Grant

Fresh Start Business Grant is offered to new and seasoned businesses. The winner will receive $2,500 and free Incfile formation services. Applicants must be 21 and American. The initial deadline for 2022 is June 30, although there are additional rounds that finish on September 30 and December 31.

Incfile Young Entrepreneur Scholarship Grant

The Young Entrepreneur Scholarship Grant will provide $2,500 to a high school senior, undergraduate, graduate, or trade school student in the United States. Students must have a GPA of 3.0 or better and a desire to establish a business to be eligible. The deadlines for 2022 are June 30, September 30, and December 31.

Caress Dreams Fund

The Caress Dreams Fund is an ongoing funding program that assists women of color-owned companies. Caress has invested $1 million in the program, which is being run through the IFundWomen of Color platform. Aside from $5,000 awards, the program provides a business accelerator, mentoring, creative services, and educational tools. Applications for the fall session are open now through July 8.
